What are we doing?
MLL is replacing the 11kV line from The Grove to Momorangi Bay, Marlborough Sounds.

How will we do it?
MLL will first re-establish the four access tracks from Queen Charlotte Drive and complete the required arborist work for the line corridor. The next phase of construction is to erect the new poles and then pull the new conductor through using a helicopter. This will be completed in sections as the replacement of the 11kV line is an overbuild. 

How will this affect you?
MLL will require multiple shutdowns of the 11kV line supplying The Grove to Whenuanui Bay. MLL is providing generation at Momorangi Bay to keep the power outages to a minimum. Your electricity retailer will provide affected residents with any power outage dates.

Traffic impacts
Traffic management will be in place along Queen Charlotte Drive while MLL undertakes the replacement of the line in The Grove, re-establishment of the access tracks at Aussie Bay, and replacement of the line at Momorangi Bay.

Property access and parking
MLL asks that the grass berm in front of properties at The Grove is kept clear over the period of 11 -15 April 2022 to facilitate the replacement of the 11kV line.
