Annual Marlborough Lines Limited Discount Payment

Marlborough electricity consumers can look forward to a reduced power bill next month, thanks to Marlborough Lines’ discount payment of approximately $10.3 million.

As a consumer-owned electricity distribution business, we share our successes with eligible consumers connected to the network through our annual discount payment. Over the past 24 years, we have distributed approximately $172 million in discount payments to eligible consumers.

This year’s payment will be made available to consumers’ electricity retailers from 23 May and should show up on your next electricity bill as a credit.

The amount of discount payment is dependent on the type of connection you have, number of days connected and electricity consumption across the year, with the average eligible residential electricity consumer connected for the full year receiving $242 (including GST).
